plugged my laptop hdd into it and then to my desk top and it worked fine but it was a tight fit on the ide side and it feels a bit cheap. i would have liked to only pay $10 for it instead of $20 but it works. high price could also be due to an uncommon item (not real familiar with prices of adapters like this either).

item worked as described, I was able to connect an old laptop HDD as a secondary HDD to my desktop, BIOS recognized it immediately. The card was delivered on time and in perfect condition.

Item was as described and received in about 4 days. I use it primarily to connect my old ide laptop drives to my new sata based computer via a sata extension cable . The drives are used mainly for misc backups and there have been no problems with the adapter.
